JerryDavis::HeadShots

People often ask me, "So what kind of pictures do you take...weddings, families...?". Well, my answer is anything your little heart desires. Haha! So sometimes I am commissioned to do head-shots and commercial shoots. I treat these just as my family sessions...shooting on-location lifestyle portraits that reflect the client's personality (maybe just with less texture and funkiness w/ the editing..haha). So when Jerry & I met to discuss his session and he told me what he was thinking I knew he had come to the right person. :)

Jerry is a real estate agent with Keller Williams here in Amarillo. I had fun chatting with him throughout our session. Here are some of the images you might see in his new brochure.

P.S. This bloody blizzard we're having better not keep me from heading to Dallas in the morning. I really don't want to have to move all of my meetings and sessions.

Friends

Our Women's Fall Dinner at church was on Thursday and my friends & I got to decorate our own little table. It was so much fun...I enjoy my friends so much! We decided to do little framed pictures as "place-cards" so when we got together on Tuesday evening we got to shooting. We ended up having a little too much fun (there are pictures that I can not show you..haha)! Here are the ones that ended up on the table. We're a silly bunch!

Fierce

**EDIT**I HAVEN'T HAD A FREE SECOND TO GET ON HERE AND LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT JEREMY GOT THE JOB AT HILLSIDE!!! HE STARTS ON MONDAY THE 18TH AND HIS OFFICIAL TITLE IS GRAPHIC DESIGNER/WEB DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR. :)

Jeremy asked me to take a "quick" picture last night for his Facebook. All I can say is I love my husband...in all of his quirkiness. We laugh a lot in our house. :) Btw, that mustache beard thing on his face is totally Photoshopped on....he can't grow facial hair like that. LOL.

Katie::Workin 9-2-5

Before I head off to the hotel room next door to fall asleep with my little angel who is curled up dreaming of visiting "the castle" tomorrow...I wanted to share a bit of my fabulous hubby's handy work. As most of you already know, Jeremy is my designer. When it comes to Christmas cards, wedding albums, business cards, etc... Jeremy is the man behind the curtain. I tried my hand at the design thing and there came a point where I needed ask myself, "Lezlie are you a photographer or are you a designer?" Now some CAN do both and DO. Me??? Not so much. Maybe it has more to do with the fact that I just don't have the time. :) Anyhow, I shot some head-shots for my favorite Realtor in the whole wide world Katie Joy Wieck. Jeremy designed here some super fab new business cards. Have you ever seen a Realtor with cards like these??? Let me (or us) know what you think! Peace+Love.

Carrie : Ft.Worth

I had fun with Carrie's session...the shooting and the editing. Carrie is the sister of one of my favorite brides, Colleen. You might remember her from the bridal session with the infamous green wall everyone always comments on. (= Carrie is super gorgeous and has a great personality so I was stoked when she asked me to shoot these pictures for her. She needed to add to her portfolio a bit so we decided to go out in Ft.Worth and do a few looks. It was a super (understatement) sunny day and we shot at mid-day which isn't the best time of day for lighting purposes. A year ago I would have been totally stressed about all the backlight and shadowing but I've worked hard over the last year to better myself in using the light (however harsh it may be) rather than trying to combat it. I asked my little sister Sarah Jane to come along to assist me (using reflectors and what not). Carrie probably thought we were crazy but we had a lot of fun. I'm definately going to use Sarah on more of my Dallas area shoots! Anyway here are some of my favorite images from the day. I'm pretty happy with the finished product! Comment, comment, comment. K thanks!!!

Dylan : Downtown

Dylan is a young guy who is totally into music and acting. He just auditioned for the production Texas and can currently be seen in AC's Willy Wonka Junior. He's going on a lot of auditions and needed some fresh head and promo shots. We had fun shooting these even though it was a bit on the chilly side. And I have to say he plays a mean violin! Here are some of my favorite images from Dylan's session. Enjoy...and keep the comments coming (they make me smile)! :)

Carrie : Headshot

I just wanted to post a little teaser from Carrie's session on Saturday. Is she not GORGEOUS?!?! I'll post more from her session soon. In the mean time here's one of Carrie's images so Courtney will stop hounding me...lol! :)

Victoria . Part 2

A few more of my favorites from Victoria's session. She was a ton of fun!

Victoria

I can't believe how old Jeremy's little sister is now (she's 15 and has her driver's permit)! She has turned into such a beautiful young woman and really seems to have her head on straight. She is such a good kid...other than giving her mom attitude from time to time, lol. Victoria has become our go-to babysitter, too, which rocks. Anyway, she missed ordering any of her school pictures this year so my mother-in-law asked me to catch a few. I thought Victoria wouldn't really be up to it but she is GREAT in front of the camera. We couldn't go outside b/c it was icy and freezing so we just shot in my house. Here's my favorite from our little mini-session. I'll post more in the next couple of days!

For Sale

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I have been super duper busy traveling to Dallas & editing photos from recent shoots. I was going to post photos from the Scottish Festival in Arlington this past weekend but I ended up not being able to go due to the ridiculous amount of rain that fell. =( I don't have any pictures from my week in Dallas to post b/c Jeremy & I were shooting with his little ELPH and he hasn't dumped any of the images yet. Anyway, I'm back in Amarillo now but only for a little over a week. Jeremy, Ella, & I will be headed to Possum Kingdom for Jeremy's family's annual reunion next week. When I get back it'll be wedding time! Lots of weddings coming up & I promise I'll keep up with the blogging. I hope everyone has had a great start to their summer!

Peace,
Lezlie

Oh! I almost forgot...the whole reason for this post was to tell you that we have a Chevy Suburban for sale. Jeremy's grandad recently gave us a Suburban...lol. We don't have any use for it so we're selling it. Here are the specs:

'87 Chevy Suburban 4x4
Runs GREAT
Paint is faded a bit
Interior is in excellent condition (super clean)
Low miles for an '87

Since we don't have any money in it we're selling it for CHEAP. It would make a great hunting rig. Interested??? It's currently located in the Sharp's Motorsports parking lot (I-40 & Eastern)...ask for Jeremy at the parts & accessories counter.

Here are a couple of images I shot of Jeremy's grandad a couple of months ago. I was just going to post the b&w one but then I realized that I've been posting a lot of b&w pictures lately. So here it is in color and b&w.

My Calendar

I just wanted to let everyone in Dallas/Ft.Worth know that I will be in your area soon with several session times still available. The dates are May 30th-June 4th and June 14th-18th. If you're interested in scheduling a session shoot me an email (lezlieandrewphotography@yahoo.com) or phone call (806.584.7894) for availability. I'll leave you with a couple of photos I recently shot of my gorgeous husband, Jeremy, and silly daughter, Ella. Ella insisted on putting all of her bows on her head at the same time. I of course was fine with this knowing it would lead to a super cute photo. Btw, Jeremy & I will be celebrating our 6 year anniversary tomorrow!

Bands

I shot some promo pics for Marcus Dawes this weekend. He's a fabulous up and coming Christian artist. Check out his myspace @ http://www.myspace.com/marcusdawes. I think we'll be seeing and hearing a lot of him in the future. I enjoyed his session & hope you enjoy the photos. Let me know what you think. Oh...and he looks freakishly like my husband! Peace.

Misc

My Dad, little sister (Sarah), & I went on a photographic excursion one day that I was in the Dallas area. While we were in Los Colinas, I shot a few images of my Dad. He takes great pictures & I love to use him as a subject! Here's one of his headshots. Also, I had a request to post some more images of the old house in Lewisville. Before I go, I have a request of my own: leave me a comment if you come to the site. I love to hear your feedback & it helps me keep track of how many viewers I have daily. Thanks a bunch!
