Glorious

So sorry I have been M.I.A. lately. I have had just enough time to get my client's their photos and not a moment more. I even had to work on vacay. It wasn't that bad. ;) Speaking of vacations. I had the opportunity to visit one of my absolute favorite places in the whole wide world last week. I went to Ashville, North Carolina to visit Biltmore House. Biltmore House is a French Renaissance-inspired chateau built by George Washington Vanderbuilt II between 1888 and 1895. It is 175,000 square feet, has 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, and even a bowling alley. The 125,000-acre estate were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted...for those of you in need of a history of architecture lesson Mr. Olmsted also created New York's Central Park.

My family vacationed in Ashville several summers throughout my childhood. The last time I was there was in 2004 around New Years. Christmas on the estate is beyond words! I was happy to say the least to be able to go back with my mom, sisters, nephew, and Ella. We had a glorious time. I can't wait to go back! Here are a few images of the estate. I have many more photos to come. Peace+Love.

This first image is one of the many views from the hotel we stayed at on the estate. The hotel is quite magnificent itself. :)

Katie::Workin 9-2-5

Before I head off to the hotel room next door to fall asleep with my little angel who is curled up dreaming of visiting "the castle" tomorrow...I wanted to share a bit of my fabulous hubby's handy work. As most of you already know, Jeremy is my designer. When it comes to Christmas cards, wedding albums, business cards, etc... Jeremy is the man behind the curtain. I tried my hand at the design thing and there came a point where I needed ask myself, "Lezlie are you a photographer or are you a designer?" Now some CAN do both and DO. Me??? Not so much. Maybe it has more to do with the fact that I just don't have the time. :) Anyhow, I shot some head-shots for my favorite Realtor in the whole wide world Katie Joy Wieck. Jeremy designed here some super fab new business cards. Have you ever seen a Realtor with cards like these??? Let me (or us) know what you think! Peace+Love.

Leaving on a jet plane...

Well, Ella & I flew out of Amarillo this a.m. and are currently in Memphis, TN. We're off to Nashville and Knoxville tomorrow then it's on to Ashville, NC. :) I know there has been a major lack in images being posted. I am sitting on a ton of Bridals (can't post those till after the weddings) and I have some weddings that I'd love to share but just haven't had time to upload. Soon soon...I promise. :) In the mean time keep us in your prayers while we travel. Hopefully I'll have lots of photos to share as soon as we get back to Amarillo (on the 30th). Peace+Love.

Need 2 Know Info

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are all doing extremely well...hopefully lounging poolside or something equally fun/relaxing. ;) This is just a quick note to let you all know that I will be in Tennessee & North Carolina from Sunday June 22nd thru Monday June 30th. I will still be able to check my email and phone msgs; however, my response(s) might come a little slower than usual. With that said, if you need to place orders (etc) get it done this week if possible to insure timely service. Thanks for your understanding!

Also, I have been overwhelmed with requests to do sessions in June. Unfortunately (or fortunately...however you wanna look at it) I am completely booked in June. Take a look at the Calendar section on my website to see my summer hours and shoot me an email from there to check availability. Keep in mind, as well, that people are already getting their sessions booked for Fall. So if you are wanting family sessions for Christmas cards/gifts then if might be a good idea to go ahead and book your session. That goes for you 2009 Seniors, too. Don't miss out!

Sorry for not posting any new images with this entry! I have been buried in Bridals this week and can't show those to you until after the weddings. ;) I will share Katie's head-shots w/ you in the next couple of days. Until then, have a wonderful weekend and Happy Father's Day! Peace+Love.

Kendall+Tiffany::Engaged

Tiffany & Kendall are real troupers. We shot their session the day after they returned from a mission trip to Malaysia (I think that's where they went). I'm sure they were jet-lagged and exhausted but they braved the Panhandle wind for their Engagements anyway. I had fun shooting this session...it was very chill. Tiffany & Kendall spent the entire time in a low whisper having conversations while I clicked away. At times I almost felt like I was intruding on a special private moment...as Tiffany looked into Kendall's eyes and he brushed her hair away from her face. They are just so sweet to each other! Now we did have a bit of silly fun toward the end of their session. I asked them to do their best cheerleader jumps and they didn't hesitate one bit to deliver. Here are some of my favorites from this session. Peace+Love.

Amanda::Bride

Amanda & Josh got married last night! I have been waiting (not so patiently) to blog Amanda's bridals for like a month. Amanda got us into a super-exclusive private gated community ;) for her bridals. The people in this place were fabulous and let us shoot around and even in their houses. It was a perfect day, too! Beautiful blue skies w/ pretty fluffy white clouds, now wind, no heat...just perfect. Although, the minute we stopped shooting it started storming like crazy. It was almost like God waited for us to be finished shooting before kicking up the wind, dust, rain, & thunder. Amanda is such a cutie and has a great smile and personality! She was so much fun to shoot!!! I can't wait to blog some from the wedding last night. Enjoy these images from her Bridal Session. This is just a handful of what I shot....there were so many great ones! Peace+Love.

The Wright Fam @ Wonderland

I was super stoked when Alexis told me she wanted me to shoot her super sweet family again...and at Wonderland! I always have fun with this family and can't wait to shoot their newest addition coming this Fall (Alexis is due in October). We had a ton of fun at Wonderland...even though it was uber hot! Here are a handful of my favorites from the Wright's session. Peace+Love.
