Yishai : Home Session

I have thoroughly enjoyed each session I have done with the Morales family! This time we tried something a little different and did a home session. Yishai is 10 months old and growing into such a sweet little boy. He has such a gentle spirit about him and is a pleasure to be around. We just let him play and kept the atmosphere very relaxed. Angela (Yishai's gorgeous mommy) & I decided that some naked pictures would be fun. What's more fun than a naked baby, right? =) He is just the cutest thing ever! I'm still editing this session but here are some of my favorites so far. Feedback is always welcome! Grace and peace.

Comments

I had been debating over the past couple of months whether to keep this blog or not b/c I never get any comments and assumed nobody really ever looked at it but once in a great while. However, a stinkin TON of you have come forward and told me that you look at my blog DAILY! I'm thinking, "What the crap? Why doesn't anyone ever comment if so many people are truly coming to this blog that much?" I decided to see if I could find out how many hits a day or week or whatever I get. So I put a tracker on here that just tells me how may hits I'm getting and where they are coming from.

Over the past 48 hours I have had hundreds of views ranging from right here in Amarillo to Chicago, Michigan, Spain, and even Paris!!! So I was still wondering why nobody leaves any comments...which makes me sad. :( Then someone (thanks Ashley) mentioned to me tonight that she thought you couldn't comment on blogger unless you had an account. I thought I would let you all know that you CAN in fact comment on my blog without opening an account. I have mine set to accept "anonymous" comments. So just leave your comment and sign your name to it so that I know it was you! Easy as pie.

Leave me a comment to tell me what you think about my recent photos or just to say hi and that you stopped by. It would truly make my day! Peace like a river.

***Edit*** Sorry there are no images with this post...it's late! I'll post images from Yishai's 10 month home session in the next few days. =)

Aden : 1st Birthday

I had so much fun shooting Aden back in September. So when his mom asked me to be there to capture his 1st birthday I was super stoked. When a family or any client continues to come back to me for their photographic needs it feels really special. I'm truly honored to be a part of all of these milestones in my client's lives...first steps, first birthdays, graduations, engagements, weddings, etc. I had a blast at Aden's birthday party. He was amazing with his birthday cake...dove right into that thing and never looked back! By the end of the night he was all sugared out and ready to crash. That's what first birthdays are all about, right. Enjoy these images from the cake eating festival!

Kevin & Lara : Album

I've got to say...my husband rocks! Jeremy has started doing all of my designing and he is way better than I've ever dreamt of being. He does a lot of graphic design for a couple of businesses in town, motorcross, along with some churches. He has only been doing this since last year but is totally made for it! I am amazed every time he shows me his latest project or job. Kevin & Lara are ordering a coffee table album and Jeremy took on the design for their book. I love what he did with it and can't wait to see the finished product. I'll try to post pictures once I have my copy. For now here are a few of the pages that will appear in their album starting with the cover. Let me know what you think!

Just a note :)

I have decided to shoot a VERY limited number of weddings this year. While weddings are fun and rewarding, they take up an extreme amount of time. I had to turn away so many family sessions in 2007 due to the workload I had from weddings. I adore family sessions and don't want to have to turn any away this year. While I'll be limiting my weddings I will still be available for engagement & bridal sessions. So if I am unavailable to shoot on your wedding day, let's still talk about your other wedding needs!

I have some very special projects (to be announced at a later date) I am wanting to work on this year. I am ecstatic about being able to see these things come to fruition. I am also planning on spending a lot more time with Ella & Jeremy. The amount of time I spend on the computer is ridiculous! So if I'm a little slower in returning emails or posting on this blog please know that it's not because I'm neglecting or ignoring you but because I am NOT neglecting or ignoring my family. =)

I love photography with all of my being and want it to stay that way. When you begin to do something that you are passionate about for money or an actual job rather than for fun or as a hobby it can start to loose its luster real fast! I want to make sure I have time to shoot for myself as well as all of you so that you ALWAYS get the best out of me. Plus, everything I do is for my Lord and Savior Jesus. I want to make sure that the focus is always on Him.

With all of that said, don't assume that I'm completely booked. If you're interested in having me shoot your wedding, senior portrait session, newborn session, family, etc... shoot me an email or phone call. Thank you for your unfailing support and understanding!

Grace & Peace to you,
Lezlie

Jeff & Brittany : Wedding

I FINALLY got some images to upload! Jeff & Brittany's wedding was the last wedding of 2007 for me. Courtney & I had so much fun shooting this one and got some fabulous images along the way! Some of my favorites of the day came from Courtney. That 5D paired with the 50mm rocks my world! Here are some of our images from Jeff & Brittany's day. Thanks for letting us be a part of such a special event in your lives! It was truly an honor. Peace.

So behind!

Ok, people! I can explain the lack of posts. I have been trying desperately to upload photos and it's not working. I will get it figured out. Give me a little slack, Sarah & Courtney! Lol. In the mean time go look at my new website (link located on the right). New pictures, new prices, new everything! I know the music is not working on it. Just a little kink that I'm getting worked out. Grace & peace!

Bliain úr faoi shéan is faoi mhaise duit...which means Happy New Year to you in Irish Gaelic. I have a few resolutions for this year. My first being to keep all of my resolutions this year! Lol...here are some more.

*Less television & internet...more reading (especially the Bible).

*Join a gym and actually GO! While losing weight would be nice, I'm way more interested in being healthy.

*Be more organized and have more structure in my day to day activities.

*Go to bed earlier!!!

Here is a picture that Jeremy took of Ella today. Since I got a new camera for Christmas, Jeremy is using my old one to learn a few things. I'd say this is a pretty good start! Shalom.
