Ellie

So I'm in the midst of editing Ellie's super cute one year session and I started thinking, "How rockin would it be to throw some texture and x-processing on some of Ellie's tutu pics?!?!" I would really love some input on these. The first two are just my normal bright, smooth edits and the second two are a little edgy. Let me know what you all think!!! Peace.

Aden : Park Session

You might remember Aden from this session back in September or from this post of his 1st Birthday. I have had so much fun photographing Aden over the last several months. He has such a sweet spirit and is so much fun to be around. He adores his Mommy and is totally into that 1 year old state of curiosity. He was so intrigued by the water, the birds, ducks, trees, etc...so cute! We had a lot of fun. We shot this session late in the day at Thompson Park...I love the warm smooth glow we get late in the day. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Enjoy and leave me some love. :)

What was happening in my life 10 years ago:
-I was 16
-I had just started dating this new guy...he's now my husband. :)
-I was a cheerleader.
-I had just gotten my first SLR camera and was taking pictures of EVERYTHING. I actually still have tons of undeveloped rolls of film from back then.
-My passion was photography and missions...some things never change. :)
-I was skinny...lol. :(

5 things on my to-do list today (since it's late I'm going to do tomorrow's to-do list):
-Work out.
-Do a couple loads of laundry & pick up the house b/c Uncle TT (that's what Ella calls our friend Brett) is coming over to watch the Office.
-Edit Elli's session.
-Go to the grocery store.
-Watch the Office!!!

-go go fish (that's what we call gold fish around here)

-pistachios

5 things I would do if I were a billionaire:
-Tithe (good one Ash!)
-Have no house payment, car payments, or debt period.
-Invest
-Give A LOT to various charities.
-Adopt a bunch of orphans from Africa. :)

5 bad habits:
-Not making our bed.
-Not folding the laundry right after I've washed it...it can sit for days sometimes before I get to it. Sad, I know.
-Gossip...not about my friends or people I actually know. It's really just celebrities. I'm addicted to perezhilton.com. I'm so ashamed!
-I have BAD eating habits. I'm really working on this one though.
-Interrupting others. Maybe this should be number 1 since it's quite annoying. I don't mean to interrupt, I just get so excited. (Ashley took the words right out of my mouth)

Ephraim : Home Session

I love my job...I mean actually LOVE it. It's what I always wanted to do for a living. It's what I am truly passionate about. I don't ever see myself tiring of it. I just really really REALLY love my job. :)

I had so much fun with this session that I literally could not tear myself away from the computer. The Neagles are a super rad little family and I feel so privileged that they asked me to help them document their newborn's life. Ephraim looks just like his Daddy...no question. Btw, his Daddy is a rockstar. He's the "Neagle" part of Monk & Neagle. And the way he looks at his Mommy is the sweetest most endearing thing. Home sessions are really a favorite of mine (if not the favorite). This home session is in the running to being one of my favorites of the year (I know...it's only April!). Enjoy.











Just an example of a baby announcement:

Trapper : Senior

"Do you know that episode of Friends where Monica & Chandler are getting their engagement pictures taken and Chandler can't smile normal?" This was my conversation with Trapper's mom a couple of days before his Senior Session. Haha...anyone who knows me knows that I am a Friends freak. I can quote the dialog from any episode word for word and no matter how many times I've seen each and every episode I still watch reruns every day at 6:00 and 10:00. Not to mention that I can be found watching Friends on dvd while editing. It's just one of my many quirks. :)

Trapper is actually not the first person who I have been told right before a session has the "Chandler smile". It's a very common problem. Me...I have the "Anderson fake smile" (Anderson is my maiden name). That's what Jeremy calls it anyway. So I was confident that we could still get some killer pictures out of him "Chandler smile" or no "Chandler smile". So how do you think I did???

Btw, Trapper is a super rad guy. Not only was he digging on the Feist I had playing in my car but he wants to design roller-coasters for a living. Peace + love y'all.
